Binding Safely:A Guide to Comfortable and safe Chest Binding, packing and tucking

This 30-minute workshop is dedicated to teaching participants how to bind safely and comfortably. Focusing particularly on the needs of the trans and non-binary communities, the session will offer practical advice, safety tips, and best practices for chest binding. The goal is to empower individuals to choose binding methods that are not only effective but also minimize health risks and enhance comfort.

  • Understanding the different types of binders and their materials.
  • How to select the right binder size for comfort and safety.
  • Tips for putting on, wearing, and removing binders to avoid injury.
  • Identifying signs of discomfort or injury and how to address them.
  • Alternative binding techniques for those with limited access to
  • binders.
  • Strategies for incorporating breaks and self-care while binding.
